Delhi Police has cancelled the leave of all personnel as the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) expanded its nationwide protest campaign, prompting heightened security measures across the national capital.

The order, issued in view of the prevailing law and order situation, directs officers of all ranks to remain on duty until further instructions. Regular leave has been suspended, with only emergency requests set to be considered.

The move comes as thousands of protesters continue to gather at Jantar Mantar while demonstrations are being organised in districts across the country.

Parliament Disrupted Over Education Minister’s Resignation

The political impact of the agitation was visible in Parliament, where Opposition members repeatedly demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities linked to NEET.

Continuous sloganeering disrupted proceedings in the Lok Sabha, eventually forcing the House to adjourn for the day.

Despite agreeing to dialogue, CJP leaders have reiterated that their protest will continue until their primary demand is addressed.

Abhijeet Dipke Returns Despite Illness

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke said he returned to the protest site after receiving overnight medical treatment for fever.

In a social media post, he revealed he had undergone intravenous treatment and medical tests but insisted the movement would continue despite his health condition.

He again called for the resignation of the Union Education Minister, describing it as a non-negotiable demand.

Sonam Wangchuk Ends Fast, Movement Continues

Although activist Sonam Wangchuk ended his 26-day hunger strike after receiving government assurances, the protest movement has not slowed.

Supporters said the end of the fast represents the beginning of a broader campaign for accountability in the examination system rather than the conclusion of the agitation.

The CJP has thanked Wangchuk for his support while confirming that demonstrations at Jantar Mantar and across the country will continue.

Apart from cancelling police leave, restrictions remain in place around central Delhi. Several Delhi Metro stations continue to remain closed as part of traffic and crowd management measures.
