Laxmi Nagar Assault: Businessman’s Wife Alleges Sexual Assault After Gym Dispute in Delhi

A shocking case of violence has emerged from Laxmi Nagar, where a 52-year-old businessman, his wife, and their son were allegedly assaulted by a group of men over a dispute related to a gym operating in the basement of their house.

What the victim alleges

Speaking to Hindustan Times, the businessman's wife alleged that the attackers brutally assaulted her family and sexually assaulted her during the incident.

“They slapped me, kicked me, pulled my hair and touched me inappropriately,” she said, adding that she fell to the ground while trying to protect her husband.

She further claimed that her husband was stripped naked and beaten with an iron rod inside the gym, while their 26-year-old son was dragged out of the house, stripped naked in public, and beaten repeatedly despite pleading for mercy.

Videos of the assault have since gone viral on social media, showing the son being humiliated and attacked as bystanders watched.

Dispute over gym ownership

According to the woman, the family had hired Satish Yadav alias Pintoo as a caretaker for the gym in 2016. Over time, he allegedly took control of the premises and refused to vacate despite multiple legal notices.

On Friday, after water flooded the ground floor, the family attempted to access the basement gym. When they tried to remove the lock, the accused allegedly arrived with others and launched the attack.

Police action so far

An FIR has been registered by Delhi Police under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including:

• Voluntarily causing hurt

• Wrongful restraint

• Criminal trespass and house trespass

• Assault and sexual harassment of a woman

• Criminal intimidation

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Abhishek Dhania confirmed that Satish Yadav has been arrested, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining accused.

Growing outrage

The incident has sparked outrage online, with many demanding swift arrests and strict punishment for those involved. Women’s rights activists have also called for stronger action, citing the public humiliation and alleged sexual assault as deeply disturbing.
