Model Rhiya Ahir, known for her viral role during the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protests in Mumbai, may soon enter the Bigg Boss 20 house. She is competing against Punjabi actor and model Love Gill in a fan vote that will decide who gets a place on Salman Khan’s reality show.
The latest Bigg Boss 20 promo reveals that viewers will have a direct role in selecting one contestant this season. Fans can vote for Rhiya Ahir or Love Gill through the JioHotstar app. Voting remains open until September 2 at 11.59 pm, while the show is set to premiere on September 6 on JioHotstar and Colors TV.
Rhiya Ahir gained widespread attention after a video showed her standing in front of a police van during student protests in Mumbai. She later said her decision to intervene was spontaneous after seeing protesters being taken away. The demonstrations were linked to concerns over alleged irregularities in the education system and examination paper leaks.
Love Gill, meanwhile, is a Punjabi actor and model with experience in music videos, television and films. She appeared in projects including Tu Patang Main Dor, Kuriyan Jawan Bapu Pareshan, Haterz, Vekhi Ja Chhedi Na and Furlow.
The audience vote will now determine whether Rhiya Ahir’s journey from viral protest figure to reality television contestant becomes a reality, or whether Love Gill secures the final entry into the Bigg Boss 20 house.
