Akhilesh Yadav Unveils AI Film Targeting Yogi Adityanath Ahead of UP Polls
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav unveiled an AI-generated film depicting a fictional confrontation with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has unveiled another AI-generated political film targeting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ahead of the 2027 Assembly election. The short motion film, screened at a press conference, uses an exaggerated 1980s Bollywood-style setting to stage a fictional confrontation between the two leaders.
In the video, Yogi Adityanath is portrayed as an antagonist while Akhilesh Yadav appears in an “angry young man” role. The fictional exchange includes allegations about crime against women, corruption, education, infrastructure and farmer suicides. These claims are presented as political accusations made within the AI-generated film, rather than established findings.
The video also depicts the fictional Yogi character discussing public relations spending and referring to a political model involving social divisions. The character is repeatedly addressed by the name “Ajay Seth”, a variation used in the film for Yogi Adityanath’s birth name, Ajay Bisht.
The film ends with supporters outside the fictional setting raising slogans for a PDA government in 2027. The screening follows an earlier AI-generated video released by Akhilesh Yadav that portrayed Yogi Adityanath in a satirical setting. That video had drawn criticism from the BJP.
The latest video comes as political parties in Uttar Pradesh increasingly use AI-generated videos, short-form content and digital campaigns ahead of the 2027 Assembly election. The Samajwadi Party has previously said AI should be used for social purposes while also using the technology as part of its political communication.
