Iran’s Pezeshkian on US Ties, Israel War and West Asia Crisis
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed Tehran’s stance on the US, Israel conflict, regional tensions and possible direct talks with Washington.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has outlined Tehran’s position on the escalating tensions in West Asia, addressing Iran’s strained ties with the United States and Israel, regional security concerns and possible diplomatic avenues.
Pezeshkian stressed that Iran would not surrender or capitulate to pressure from the US or Israel. He described Washington as the provocateur behind the conflict and maintained that Iran’s military actions should be viewed as retaliation.
The Iranian president also discussed broader security concerns in the region, including the strategic Bab el-Mandab waterway and Houthi operations. Relations between Iran and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the presence of US military bases across the region, were also addressed during the interaction.
On diplomacy, Pezeshkian discussed the possibility of direct talks with US President Donald Trump, including negotiations without preconditions. His comments come amid continuing tensions and uncertainty over the future of US-Iran relations.
The discussion also touched on Iran’s longstanding relationship with India, highlighting the historical and strategic links between the two countries. With West Asia facing continuing geopolitical instability, Tehran’s approach remains focused on resisting external pressure while keeping potential diplomatic channels open.
