Netflix is bringing a new Tamil romantic comedy, #Love, starring Aishwarya Lekshmi and Arjun Das. The series is scheduled to premiere on October 2 and explores dating, relationships and the complications of finding love in the digital age.
The story follows Tara and Matthew, two rival dating-app founders who have built successful businesses around helping people find relationships while struggling with their own romantic lives. Tara's platform, FOUND, focuses on compatibility, while Matthew's Find My Bae is built around chemistry.
Their professional rivalry takes an unexpected turn when Tara makes Matthew an offer that leads to a personal bet. What starts as a challenge soon pushes both characters to question whether love can actually be understood through algorithms, compatibility scores or carefully designed dating strategies.
The series also explores friendship, family, ambition and the uncertainty that comes with figuring out what people really want from relationships.
#Love is directed by Balaji Mohan and showrun and produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth. Nirmal Williams has written the series, with Sharada Subramanian and Shweta Chakravarty as co-writers. The show is produced by May6 Entertainment Factory.
