Rajinikanth gets a starry tribute in One Sun One Moon, the second song from Jailer 2. Released by Sun Pictures, the track celebrates the superstar’s enduring screen image while offering fresh glimpses of his character, Muthuvel Pandian.
Composed by Anirudh, who also lends his voice alongside MS Krsna, the song is built around Rajinikanth’s larger-than-life presence. The lyrics by Heisenberg and Super Subu further reinforce the tribute, with the track presenting the actor as the central force of the Jailer franchise.
The video gives fans more footage of Rajinikanth ahead of the sequel’s theatrical release on October 15. Several familiar faces from the first film are returning, including Ramya Krishnan, Mirnaa, Shivarajkumar, Yogi Babu, Jaffer Sadiq and Vinayakan. Mohanlal is also expected to return, although his appearance has not been officially confirmed.
The sequel has added several new names to its cast, including SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vidya Balan, Vijay Sethupathi and Anna Rajan. Reports about appearances by Shah Rukh Khan, Mithun Chakraborty and Hrithik Roshan remain unconfirmed.
Nelson returns as director, with Anirudh continuing as composer. Jailer 2 is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 15, and judging by the new song, Rajinikanth is once again being given the full superstar treatment—because apparently one sun wasn't enough.
