NIA Court Issues Non-Bailable Warrant Against LeT Commander Saifullah
A special NIA court in Jammu has issued a non-bailable warrant against Pakistan-based LeT commander Saifullah in a terror investigation linked to Kashmir and the Pahalgam attack.
A special NIA court in Jammu has issued a non-bailable warrant against Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Saifullah in connection with an investigation into terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir. The National Investigation Agency has linked him to the April 2025 Pahalgam terror attack and other attacks in the region.
According to the NIA, Saifullah is based in Pakistan’s Kasur district and operates under several aliases. Investigators allege that he supplied weapons, funds and instructions to terrorist operatives in the Kashmir Valley. The agency has also described him as a designated terrorist under the UAPA.
The warrant follows the investigation into a Lashkar-e-Taiba module allegedly headed by Pakistan-based operative Abdullah, alias Abu Hureira. His arrest, along with another Pakistani national and three local operatives, reportedly helped investigators trace the network and its links.
The NIA told the court that communication identifiers associated with Saifullah were recovered from one of the arrested Pakistani operatives. According to the agency, the material indicated that instructions had been issued for attacks targeting security forces, civilians and government establishments.
The court issued the warrant after considering the NIA’s application and related material, with the order forwarded for execution through the concerned authorities.
The development follows the NIA’s earlier chargesheet in the Pahalgam case, which named Pakistan-based LeT/TRF and other accused in the attack that killed 26 people.
