Border 2 Box Office Day 2: Sunny Deol–Varun Dhawan Film Races Past ₹60 Crore Mark

The war drama Border 2 is witnessing a thunderous run at the box office, crossing the ₹60 crore mark within just two days of its release. The film, headlined by Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, continues to dominate theatres across India with packed shows and strong audience response.

As per the latest industry estimates till Saturday night, the film earned approximately ₹30 crore on its second day, matching its impressive opening-day numbers. This takes the total domestic box office collection to around ₹60 crore, making it the biggest opening weekend performer of 2026 so far.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 serves as the sequel to the iconic 1997 film Border and draws inspiration from real events of the 1971 India-Pakistan war. The film highlights coordinated military action by the Army, Navy, and Air Force, blending large-scale action with patriotic storytelling.

Alongside Sunny Deol, the film features Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa in key roles.

The excitement around the film has gone beyond cinema halls, with visuals circulating online showing fans arriving in groups—some even on tractors—celebrating the release as a mass event. Trade analysts expect Border 2 to cross the ₹100 crore milestone by the end of its opening weekend if the current momentum continues.
