The video, widely shared on Chinese social media platforms, shows Huang visiting Jinde Market in the Lujiazui area ahead of the Lunar New Year. Dressed casually, he browsed fruit and snack stalls, interacted with shopkeepers, and blended effortlessly into the crowd—until curious onlookers began taking photos.

In one moment that quickly became the highlight of the clip, Huang handed a traditional Lunar New Year red envelope to a vendor, who appeared confused and asked, “Who’s he?” Only after noticing the crowd gathering did the shop owner realise the visitor was Huang, known in China by his Mandarin name.

During the visit, Huang reportedly bought roasted chestnuts, candied hawthorns and fruit, even sampling produce on the spot. His relaxed manner and low-key presence struck a chord online, with users praising his humility and approachability.
