At least six people sustained minor injuries after a small private aircraft made a crash landing near Rourkela in Odisha on Saturday, prompting swift rescue and medical response from local authorities.

The incident occurred near Jalda, around 10 kilometres from Rourkela, when an A-1 nine-seater aircraft operating on the Rourkela–Bhubaneswar sector was forced to make an emergency landing under unclear circumstances. All passengers and crew members on board escaped with non-life-threatening injuries and were reported to be in stable condition.

Officials confirmed that the aircraft was carrying four passengers and two crew members at the time of the incident. Emergency teams reached the site shortly after the landing and transported the injured to nearby hospitals for precautionary treatment.

The aircraft involved in the incident was operated by India One Airlines and was a regular commercial flight between Bhubaneswar and Rourkela. Aviation authorities have been informed, and a technical assessment of the aircraft and the circumstances leading to the crash landing is expected.

State officials stated that further details would emerge after a preliminary investigation, while civil aviation regulators are likely to inspect the site and review flight data to determine the cause of the emergency landing.
