Allu Sirish’s Vishnu-Inspired Mehendi Grabs Attention

Actor Allu Sirish married his longtime partner Nayanika Reddy on March 6 in a private ceremony attended by close family members and several personalities from the entertainment industry.

While the wedding itself attracted significant attention, a unique detail from the ceremony stood out — the groom’s distinctive mehendi design featuring the “Shanku-Chakram”, a symbol associated with Lord Vishnu in Hindu tradition.

Photos shared on social media by Nayanika Reddy showed Allu Sirish wearing intricate mehendi designs that differed from traditional floral patterns commonly seen at weddings.

The design included three major symbols rooted in South Indian devotional traditions.

• Sudarshana Chakra: A circular symbol representing the divine weapon of Lord Vishnu, often associated with protection and justice.

• Namam (Tilak): A vertical U-shaped mark traditionally worn by devotees of Vishnu, representing spiritual identity and devotion.

• Shankha (Conch): A sacred conch symbol used in religious rituals and believed to represent auspicious beginnings and prosperity.

Together, the symbols form the Shanku-Chakram motif, which carries deep spiritual significance in Vaishnavite traditions.

Wedding Ceremony

The wedding ceremony featured traditional South Indian attire for both the bride and groom.

Allu Sirish wore an off-white silk sherwani decorated with gold embroidery along the collar and placket. His look was complemented by a matching dupatta and a gold headpiece with a small pendant placed at the centre of his forehead.

Meanwhile, Nayanika Reddy chose a mauve-toned saree adorned with detailed zardozi embroidery. She paired the outfit with layered diamond and ruby jewellery, along with statement earrings and bangles.

The ceremony was attended by close friends, family members, and personalities from the film industry, reflecting the couple’s strong ties within the Telugu entertainment community.

Allu Sirish is known for his work in Telugu cinema and is also the brother of actor Allu Arjun.
