Aasif Khan’s Moustache Remark Sparks Controversy on Bigg Boss 20
Aasif Khan faced backlash on Bigg Boss 20 after saying men without moustaches are not “real men”, with viewers bringing Salman Khan into the debate.
Bigg Boss 20 contestant Aasif Khan has sparked criticism after making a remark linking moustaches with masculinity during a captaincy task. His comments triggered a heated exchange inside the house and a wave of reactions on social media, with several viewers bringing host Salman Khan into the conversation because of his clean-shaven look.
The controversy began after Yung DSA’s team won the diss battle and entered the captaincy race. During the next task, contestants had to reject the housemate they did not want to see as captain. Gullu criticised Yung for allegedly expecting everyone in his group to follow his lead, including having similar moustache styles.
Defending Yung, Aasif said his moustache represented his identity and added that, in his view, men without moustaches were not considered “real men”. Yung supported the statement, while Gullu, Aman Gandhi and Mahhi Vij objected.
Gullu pointed out that many men, including the show’s host, do not wear moustaches. Mahhi also challenged Aasif’s definition of masculinity, arguing that being a “real man” should be about keeping a family together rather than displaying aggression.
Social media users quickly picked up on the contradiction and tagged Salman Khan, with some asking whether he would address Aasif’s remarks during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. Basically, the moustache debate has now entered the Bigg Boss courtroom—and Salman may have been unwillingly summoned as Exhibit A.
