Emmys 2026: India Time, Where to Watch, Nominees and Presenters
The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held in Los Angeles on September 14, with Indian viewers able to watch the ceremony live on JioHotstar on September 15.
The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on September 14 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, with Mariska Hargitay hosting the ceremony. The event will recognise some of the biggest television shows and performances from the past year.
For viewers in India, the ceremony will be available in the early hours of September 15. Red carpet coverage will begin at 4:30 am IST, followed by the main awards ceremony at 5:30 am IST. The event will stream live on JioHotstar, with the ceremony also available on demand later.
Hargitay, best known for playing Olivia Benson on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, is an Emmy winner and will host the ceremony as NBC celebrates its 100th anniversary. Presenters include Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Jon Hamm, Amy Poehler, Sally Field, Keke Palmer, David Harbour, Macaulay Culkin, Dan Levy, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Rachel Sennott.
The Pitt leads this year’s nominations with 25, followed by Hacks with 24, Widow’s Bay with 19 and Pluribus with 18. The Pitt is among the contenders for Outstanding Drama Series, while Hacks is expected to be a major force in the comedy categories.
The ceremony will also feature anniversary tributes for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Charlie’s Angels. Jean Smart could make Emmy history with a fifth consecutive win for Hacks, while Harrison Ford is competing for his first Emmy for Shrinking.
