UPESSC has announced 1,936 Assistant Professor vacancies in Uttar Pradesh, with applications open until October 7, 2026.
The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has released the notification for Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026, inviting applications for 1,936 posts. The online application process began on September 8, 2026, and eligible candidates can apply until October 7, 2026.
The maximum age limit is 62 years as on July 1, 2026, while no minimum age has been specified in the recruitment details. Candidates belonging to the General, EWS and OBC categories have to pay an application fee of Rs 2,000, while the fee is Rs 1,500 for SC and ST candidates and Rs 1,000 for PwD candidates.
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55 per cent marks and meet the required NET, SET, SLET or PhD qualification criteria, as applicable to the post.
The recruitment process will include a written examination, interview or viva-voce and document verification. The Assistant Professor examination is scheduled for November 19 and 20, 2026.
Candidates must complete the application process and fee payment within the prescribed deadlines. The last date for fee payment is October 11, 2026. Applicants should carefully check the official notification for subject-wise eligibility and other requirements before submitting the form.
