Border 2 Storms Past ₹210 Crore in 6 Days, Sunny Deol-Led War Epic Roars On

The war epic Border 2 continues its unstoppable run at the Indian box office, crossing the ₹210 crore mark within just six days of release and firmly establishing itself as one of the biggest commercial successes of the year.

Led by Sunny Deol, the film has dominated theatres since its January 23 release. According to early estimates, the film earned over ₹10 crore on its sixth day, taking its total domestic net collection to approximately ₹210.52 crore.

The opening weekend laid a strong foundation, with the film collecting ₹30 crore on day one, followed by ₹36.5 crore on day two and a massive ₹54.5 crore on day three. The Republic Day holiday further boosted collections, with the film minting ₹59 crore on day four. Although weekday numbers saw a dip, the overall momentum has remained solid, driven by high audience turnout and patriotic appeal.

The film’s opening weekend performance surpassed recent big-ticket releases, placing it firmly ahead in the box-office race. Featuring Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh alongside Deol, the ensemble cast has been widely credited for sustaining audience interest across urban and mass centres.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 revisits the backdrop of the 1971 India–Pakistan war, drawing inspiration from the Battle of Longewala, much like its 1997 predecessor. The film is backed by T-Series and J P Films, and also features a supporting cast including Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh and Sonam Bajwa.

Despite reports of the film not releasing in several Gulf countries, Border 2’s domestic performance remains unaffected, with strong word-of-mouth and patriotic sentiment continuing to fuel ticket sales.
