The foggy, tense world of Kohrra is set to return with its second season, and the newly released trailer suggests an even darker and more layered mystery than before. The Netflix crime series brings back Barun Sobti, this time joined by Mona Singh as a formidable new investigator.
Set in a small town in Punjab, the trailer opens with the discovery of a woman’s body in a barn, triggering a complex investigation riddled with secrets, lies and unresolved trauma. As the case unfolds, the list of suspects widens—from family members to acquaintances—making the truth increasingly difficult to pin down.
Barun Sobti reprises his role as ASI Amarpal Garundi, a character still grappling with the weight of his past. His journey intersects with Mona Singh’s Dhanwant Kaur, a determined and restrained officer navigating personal loss and professional pressure while trying to assert herself in a hostile environment. Together, the duo attempt to cut through deception and silence to uncover what really happened.
The trailer has received an enthusiastic response online, with fans hailing the show’s return and praising its atmospheric storytelling, grounded performances and authentic Punjabi setting. Many viewers have already dubbed Kohrra one of the strongest crime dramas on Indian OTT platforms.
Produced by Film Squad in association with Act Three, Season 2 also marks the directorial debut of Sudip Sharma, alongside Faisal Rahman. The series is set to stream on Netflix from February 11.
