The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has confirmed important details about the upcoming Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE 4). The recruitment exam will be conducted in two stages — Preliminary and Mains. The commission has also decided to continue negative marking for candidates appearing in the examination.
BPSC Examination Controller Rajesh Kumar Singh said the TRE 4 selection process will follow the two-stage pattern. The commission considered suggestions from the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) while finalising the examination structure.
The BPSC has not yet announced the exact TRE 4 exam date. However, officials indicated that the date could be announced in October, while the examination is likely to take place in November or December.
Negative marking will apply equally to all candidates. The commission also rejected claims that candidates appearing in Hindi and English receive different marks. According to BPSC, applicants do not have to select their examination language while filling out the application form.
The commission also clarified its 60 per cent rechecking rule. Candidates scoring above 60 per cent will have their answer sheets rechecked. BPSC said this rule does not prevent candidates from scoring above 60 per cent.
The examination schedule will depend on the number of applications. If applications remain below five lakh, the exam may be conducted in a single day. If applications exceed five lakh, BPSC may conduct the examination across two or three days.
