Actress Chahat Pandey, who was recently eliminated from the reality show The 50, has responded to multiple controversies surrounding her stint on the show.
In an exclusive interaction, Chahat addressed allegations ranging from being called a “criminal” by Khanzaadi to claims of making an inappropriate gesture inside the house. She also clarified her bond with fellow contestant Rajat Dalal.
On Team Dynamics and Game Strategy
Chahat said that disagreements inside the house were part of the format. She explained that she, Rajat, Digvijay and Shrutika formed a group during the show and played strategically.
According to her, decisions about task participation were taken collectively. She denied claims that women in the group were sidelined, stating that everyone had equal opportunity to perform tasks.
On Abuse and Gesture Allegations
Responding to allegations made by Khanzaadi, Chahat firmly denied using abusive language or making any vulgar gestures.
She pointed out that reality shows run round-the-clock with live feeds and edited episodes. According to her, if such incidents had occurred, they would have been visible on screen.
She also said that other contestants present during the argument did not raise objections at the time. Chahat maintained that the accusations are not supported by footage shown to viewers.
On Being Called a ‘Criminal’
Chahat said it was hurtful to be repeatedly labelled a “criminal” in interviews and media discussions.
Without directly escalating the matter, she stated that such serious allegations affect not just the individual but also their family members who watch the show. She urged for mutual respect, especially between women in the industry.
On Archana’s Statements
Addressing claims made by Archana Gautam, Chahat questioned why concerns were not raised immediately during the alleged incident if something inappropriate had truly occurred.
She suggested that if any contestant had witnessed wrongdoing, they would have reacted on the spot rather than speaking about it later.
Clarifying Bond with Rajat Dalal
Chahat also responded to speculation about her closeness with Rajat Dalal. She clarified that there are no private rooms inside the house and that contestants share common spaces.
She described her bond with Rajat as similar to that of siblings. She noted that Rajat had publicly referred to her as a younger sister after the show, reinforcing that their connection was purely friendly.
Chahat added that online hashtags and fan narratives often create assumptions around contestant relationships, even when interactions are normal and casual.
After the Exit
Despite the controversies, Chahat said she has moved on from the show and is focusing on her career. She maintained that the audience has access to footage and can form their own opinions based on what was actually shown.
The reality show continues to generate discussion on social media, but Chahat has made it clear that she stands by her version of events.
