The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the complete schedule for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, confirming that the tournament will run from June 12 to July 5 in England.
This will be the biggest edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup so far, featuring 12 teams competing for the title.
India vs Pakistan on June 14
India will begin their campaign with a high-profile clash against Pakistan on June 14 at Edgbaston. The match is expected to draw significant global attention given the historic rivalry between the two sides.
Hosts England will open the tournament against Sri Lanka on June 12. The final is scheduled to take place at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground on July 5.
12 Teams to Compete
This edition marks the first time that 12 teams will participate in the Women’s T20 World Cup.
The teams include defending champions New Zealand, six-time winners Australia, 2016 champions West Indies, hosts England, India, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands secured their spots through a qualifying tournament held in Nepal.
Group Division
The teams have been divided into two groups:
Group A: Australia, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh and Netherlands.
Group B: England, New Zealand, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Ireland and Scotland.
The group stage will feature several high-profile contests, including Australia vs India on June 28 at Lord’s.

ICC’s View
ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta described the release of the schedule as an important milestone ahead of the global event.
He said the governing body continues to invest in women’s cricket by expanding participation, improving development pathways and enhancing commercial opportunities. According to him, recent global tournaments have helped boost the profile of the women’s game, and the 2026 edition aims to build on that momentum.
With an expanded field and iconic venues across England, the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 promises to be a landmark event in international cricket.
