Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have pledged to refurbish 20 schools as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan marking PM Modi’s 76th birthday.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have pledged to refurbish 20 schools as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday on September 17. Alia shared a birthday message for the Prime Minister and said the couple would support the initiative by helping improve school infrastructure based on recommendations from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
In her social media post, Alia wished Modi a healthy and fulfilling year and said the campaign represented a vision of collective action and giving back. She added that the school refurbishment would help create better-equipped learning spaces for children.
The announcement came as several Bollywood personalities shared birthday messages for Modi. Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan were among the actors who publicly extended their wishes to the Prime Minister.
The Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan is a month-long campaign announced to mark Modi’s birthday and his completion of 25 years in public service. The nationwide initiative runs from September 17 to October 17 and includes activities such as blood donation drives, cleanliness programmes, school competitions, plantation drives and welfare outreach.
Alia and Ranbir’s pledge adds an education-focused contribution to the campaign, with the proposed refurbishment of 20 schools aimed at improving facilities for students.
