Delhi University has opened applications for its Financial Support Scheme (FSS) for the 2026-27 academic session, offering eligible students fee waivers of up to 100%. The scheme is aimed at reducing the financial burden on students from lower-income families, with online applications open until October 13, 2026.
Under the scheme, students with an annual family income of up to Rs 4 lakh can receive a 100% fee waiver, subject to a maximum benefit of Rs 15,000. Those with family income between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 8 lakh can receive a 50% waiver, capped at Rs 10,000.
Full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in a DU department, institute or centre can apply if they meet the eligibility requirements. Students from constituent colleges, BTech programmes except CIC, five-year integrated law programmes, School of Open Learning and NCWEB are excluded. Students with an Essential Repeat in a previous examination are also not eligible.
Applicants need to submit documents including an income or EWS/OBC-NCL certificate, income tax records, PAN details, undertaking, bonafide certificate, latest fee receipt, marksheet and bank details.
Students should submit the online application before October 13. Because yes, sometimes the biggest academic hack is simply knowing which form to fill before the deadline.
