iPhone Prices Rise in India: Why Today May Be Your Last Chance to Save
Apple has increased prices of older iPhones in India after the iPhone 18 Pro launch, but limited stocks may still be available at previous prices.
Apple has raised the prices of several older iPhone models in India following the launch of its new iPhone 18 Pro series and the upcoming foldable iPhone Duo. Unlike previous years, when older iPhones typically became cheaper after a new launch, this year’s price changes have made buying an older model more expensive.
The iPhone 17, for instance, now costs Rs 99,900 on Apple’s website, up from its earlier price of Rs 82,900. That represents a Rs 17,000 increase. Other older models have also received price hikes, including the iPhone 16.
However, some older iPhones may still be available at their previous prices through authorised retailers. Retailers in Delhi NCR reported limited stocks, with some stores selling the iPhone 17 at the earlier Rs 82,900 price. The iPhone 17 Pro was also available at its original launch price of Rs 1,34,900 at some authorised Apple resellers.
Availability is becoming a major concern. Some retailers said their existing stock was limited or unavailable, while others indicated that prices would rise once new inventory arrived. One retailer was selling the iPhone 17 Pro Max for Rs 1,72,900, compared with its Rs 1,49,900 launch price.
The iPhone 18 Pro series is scheduled to go on sale on September 18, while the iPhone Duo is expected in October. For buyers looking for older models at previous prices, remaining stock could therefore be the last opportunity before higher prices become standard.
