NTA Debars NEET UG Aspirant for Two Years in Paper Leak Case
NTA has debarred Aditya Motegaonkar for two years and withheld his NEET UG 2026 result in connection with the 2026 paper leak case.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has debarred Aditya Motegaonkar from appearing for NEET UG for two years in connection with the 2026 paper leak case. His NEET UG 2026 result has also been withheld, making him ineligible to appear for the 2027 examination, according to an NTA communication dated September 19.
Motegaonkar is the son of Latur-based coaching centre owner Shivraj Motegaonkar, who is currently in judicial custody after being arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation in the paper leak case. The CBI has alleged that Shivraj paid Rs 5 lakh to obtain chemistry questions from P V Kulkarni, who was part of the NTA panel involved in setting the examination paper.
According to the investigation, Aditya attended Kulkarni’s coaching classes where the questions were allegedly provided. The NTA had earlier withheld his result following the NEET UG retest and sought an explanation regarding the alleged irregularities.
In his response, Aditya denied using unfair means during the examination. He also questioned why his result from the June 21 retest had been withheld when the notice concerned alleged irregularities in the May 3 examination.
The NTA had cancelled the May 3 NEET UG examination following paper leak allegations and conducted a retest on June 21. The latest action leaves Aditya’s 2026 result withheld and prevents him from appearing for NEET UG 2027.
