NTA Invites Subject and Language Experts, Apply by October 9
NTA has invited applications from subject specialists and language experts for national examination assessment and translation roles, with October 9 as the deadline.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited Expressions of Interest from experienced educators, researchers, academicians and subject specialists for empanelment as Subject Matter Experts for national-level examinations. The agency has also invited language experts to review translated examination content in 13 Indian languages. The deadline to submit applications for both opportunities is October 9, 2026.
Subject Matter Experts may be involved in question authoring, content review, moderation, translation and transadaptation. Their responsibilities can include developing syllabus-aligned questions, assessing higher-order thinking and application-based understanding, and reviewing test items for accuracy, clarity and appropriate difficulty.
The NTA said experts may also support moderation to maintain standardisation, neutrality and alignment with examination blueprints. Serving or retired faculty members, professors, school educators and other domain specialists with relevant expertise can apply.
For the language expert role, candidates with proficiency in the specified Indian languages will review translated examination content. The reviewers will assess material produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence for accuracy, clarity, consistency and contextual relevance.
The empanelment is intended to strengthen the quality of examination content and improve multilingual accuracy across national assessments. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official NTA portal before the October 9 deadline.
