Vidyut Jammwal Plays Damru, Blows Shankh at Lalbaugcha Raja
Vidyut Jammwal joined Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Lalbaugcha Raja, where he offered prayers, played damru and blew the conch shell.
Actor Vidyut Jammwal visited Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja pandal on Monday to mark Ganesh Chaturthi 2026. The actor participated in the celebrations by offering prayers, performing aarti, playing the traditional damru and blowing a conch shell.
Dressed in a white traditional outfit, Jammwal was seen actively taking part in the rituals before joining devotees at the pandal. A video from his visit surfaced on social media, showing him immersed in the festive atmosphere as crowds gathered around the idol.
Jammwal’s visit drew attention as he participated in the celebrations rather than limiting his appearance to seeking darshan. Lalbaugcha Raja remains one of Mumbai’s most prominent Ganesh idols and attracts lakhs of devotees during the 10-day Ganeshotsav.
The Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal is celebrating its 93rd year in 2026. This year’s pandal features a Mahadev-inspired mandap based on the Mahakaleshwar Temple.
On the work front, Jammwal is preparing for his Hollywood debut with Street Fighter, in which he plays the iconic martial arts character Dhalsim. Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film is based on the popular video game franchise and features Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji, Callina Liang, Jason Momoa and Roman Reigns among its cast. Street Fighter is scheduled to release in theatres on October 16, 2026.
