Anurag Kashyap Praises Kohrra Season 2

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has praised the second season of Kohrra, calling it “unmissable” and “world class”.

Taking to Instagram, Kashyap shared his reaction after watching the newly released season on Netflix. He said he could not stop watching the show and revealed that he became emotional by the final episode.

Kashyap Applauds Writing and Direction

Kashyap credited creator and director Sudip Sharma for crafting what he described as strong storytelling. He referred to Sharma as India’s first true showrunner with two impressive second seasons, mentioning Paatal Lok alongside Kohrra.

According to Kashyap, the series allows its characters to develop gradually rather than rushing through the mystery. He noted that the show focuses not only on solving the crime but also on exploring the emotional and social layers of the town and its residents.

Kashyap particularly highlighted the performances of Mona Singh and Barun Sobti, describing their portrayals as “cathartic”.
