Amazon Launches Alexa Android Tablets: Specs, Features, Prices and Availability
Amazon has unveiled three new Alexa-powered Android tablets, bringing Google Play Store support to its tablet lineup. The range includes a premium 12 Pro model, an 11-inch tablet and a compact 8.7-inch device, alongside updated Kids Tablets.
Amazon has entered a new phase in its tablet strategy with the launch of its Alexa Tablet series, comprising the Alexa Tablet 12 Pro, Alexa Tablet 11 and Alexa Tablet 8. The new devices run Android and support the Google Play Store, offering users access to a broader app ecosystem than the company’s previous Fire OS tablets.
All three models feature Alexa Plus, Amazon’s AI-powered assistant, which can answer questions, control compatible smart home devices and provide assistance based on on-screen content when the relevant feature is enabled.
Amazon Alexa Tablet series: Specifications and features
The Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro is the flagship model, featuring a 12-inch display with 280 PPI pixel density, a 120Hz refresh rate and a 3:2 aspect ratio. Buyers can choose a standard screen or a Nanomatte display designed to reduce glare. The tablet has a 4nm octa-core processor, up to 16GB RAM, quad Dolby Atmos speakers, Wi-Fi 6E and up to 16 hours of video playback. A Pro Pen and magnetic Pro Keyboard are available separately.
The Amazon Alexa Tablet 11 features an 11-inch 2.5K display with a 90Hz refresh rate, an octa-core processor, 8GB RAM, dual Dolby Atmos speakers and up to 15 hours of video playback. It comes in Graphite, Amethyst and Matcha.
The compact Amazon Alexa Tablet 8 has an 8.7-inch display, weighs 329 grams and measures 7.95mm thick. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and offers up to 14 hours of video playback. Colour options include Graphite, Rosette and Teal.
Amazon has also introduced updated Kids Tablets in 8.7-inch and 11-inch sizes. They include protective cases and a one-year Amazon Kids Plus subscription. New features include Storybuilder, which lets children create illustrated stories using their voices, and an updated Parent Dashboard with weekly activity insights.

Alexa Tablet 12 Pro: $499.99 (approximately ₹48,302); Nanomatte version starts at $549.99.
Alexa Tablet 11: $329.99 (approximately ₹31,879).
Alexa Tablet 8: $229.99 (approximately ₹22,218).
Pro Keyboard: $149.99; Pro Pen: $89.99, sold separately.
Orders are open in the US, Mexico and Canada, with shipments scheduled to begin on October 14, 2026. Select European markets are expected to receive the tablets from October 19, while the Kids Tablets will also ship in Japan from October 14.
Amazon has not announced India pricing or availability.
