Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2026: Hilton Leads, India Has 34 Firms in Top 100
Hilton tops the Best Workplaces in Asia 2026 large-company ranking, while 34 organisations with operations in India feature among the top 100. The ranking is based on employee workplace experiences across Asia and the Middle East.
Hilton has topped the Best Workplaces in Asia 2026 ranking for large organisations, with India accounting for 34 of the 100 companies recognised in the category. The ranking evaluates workplaces based on employee experiences, including trust, leadership, innovation, company values and overall workplace culture.
The study was based on more than 3.8 million individual responses representing the experiences of nearly 8.9 million employees across Asia and the Middle East. Organisations in the large category have 500 or more employees, while small and medium-sized companies have between 50 and 499 employees.
The top 10 large organisations in the 2026 ranking are Hilton, Marriott International, Cisco, AbbVie, DHL, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Micron Technology, TP, Accenture and Capella.
The ranking is focused on employee experience rather than factors such as company size, revenue or brand recognition. Employees were surveyed on areas including trust, innovation, leadership and company values. The highest-ranked organisations recorded consistently positive responses across different job roles, employment statuses and demographic groups.
Across the recognised workplaces, 93% of employees said their organisation was a great place to work, while the overall Trust Index Grand Mean was 91%. Workplace safety, feeling welcomed, fair treatment and pride in belonging to the organisation received particularly strong responses, with at least 95% of employees expressing positive sentiment on these measures.
Smaller organisations performed better than large companies on several workplace experience indicators. Companies in the small and medium category recorded an overall workplace experience sentiment score of 96%, compared with 91% among large organisations. Their Trust Index score was also higher at 93%, against 89% for large companies.
Employee training and development emerged as another important theme in this year's ranking. Positive employee perceptions of training and development among Asia's Best Workplaces increased from 88% to 90%.
Manufacturing and Production, along with Social Services and Government Agencies, recorded the highest training and development scores at 93%. Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare followed with a score of 90%. Social Services and Government Agencies also recorded the highest overall workplace experience sentiment among industries, at 97%.
India has a substantial presence in the 2026 Asia rankings. Of the 100 large organisations recognised, 34 have operations in India. Six additional Indian organisations feature in the small and medium category.
The Indian organisations span sectors including technology, banking, financial services, healthcare, retail and manufacturing. Among the large organisations with operations in India are Flipkart Group, Infosys, HDFC Life Insurance, AU Small Finance Bank, Reliance Retail, Bajaj Finance, Max Healthcare, Aye Finance, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, Zensar Technologies, Experian, Edelweiss Life and HP Inc.
India's strong representation was highlighted by the country's Great Place To Work leadership, which noted that around one-third of the recognised large organisations have a presence in India, with BFSI and IT companies accounting for a significant share.
The six Indian organisations recognised in the small and medium category are NIA Institutions, VAHDAM India, Chalet Hotels, Serentica Renewables India, Kimbal and LMS (Lord Mahavira Services India).
To qualify for the Asia ranking, companies must first be recognised as outstanding workplaces in their respective local markets. Organisations must have appeared on at least one of the Best Workplaces lists across participating Asian and Middle Eastern markets during 2025 or early 2026.
The 2026 ranking therefore brings together employee feedback from a broad range of economies and industries. The findings indicate that companies included on the list have a higher proportion of employees reporting positive workplace experiences than the typical workplace across Asia, with stronger employee experiences also associated with better business performance.
