Nani Praises Vijay’s Political Journey and Assembly Presence
Actor Nani spoke about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s political journey and said he was impressed by what he had seen of Vijay’s Assembly appearances.
Actor Nani spoke about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s transition from cinema to politics at a press meet in Chennai for his upcoming film The Paradise. Nani said Vijay’s connection with voters goes beyond his film career and referred to the trust he believes the actor has built over the years.
Commenting on Vijay’s performance in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, Nani said that, based on what he had seen online, Vijay was “rocking the show in the Assembly.” He also expressed hope that Vijay’s tenure in government would meet the expectations of the people who voted for him.
Vijay entered electoral politics through his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), which contested the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly election. The Election Commission recorded polling on April 23 and counting on May 4.
Nani had also congratulated Vijay following the election results, referring to his political rise as a transition from being initially doubted to gaining electoral support. His latest comments came while promoting The Paradise, directed by Srikanth Odela.
Nani plays Jadal in the film, while Raghav Juyal plays Vikram Maalik. The Paradise is scheduled to release in theatres on September 24.
