Ramayana Song Jai Jai Ram Out: AR Rahman, Arijit and Shreya Ghoshal
Ramayana’s first song Jai Jai Ram, composed by AR Rahman and sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, offers a devotional glimpse into Lord Ram’s journey.
The musical journey of Ramayana has begun with the release of its first song, Jai Jai Ram. Composed by A R Rahman, written by Kumar Vishwas and sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, the devotional track was released on September 14 on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
The song offers a glimpse into the emotional and spiritual world of the epic, featuring moments from Lord Ram’s life. The visuals include Ram and Sita’s wedding, their arrival in Ayodhya, Ram caring for King Dashrath, the immersion of his father’s ashes and the emotional reunion between Ram and Bharat.
Rahman’s composition blends the simplicity of a devotional chant with a cinematic sound, while Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal add emotional depth to the song. Kumar Vishwas has kept the lyrics centred on the repeated invocation of Lord Ram’s name and the bond between devotees and the deity.
The song marks the beginning of the film’s musical campaign after the global release of its trailer. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravan, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.
Produced by Prime Focus Studios, DNEG and Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana Part One is scheduled to release in cinemas during Diwali 2026.
