UPESSC PRT Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2026: 12,405 Vacancies
UPESSC has announced 12,405 Assistant Teacher vacancies for 2026, with applications open until October 15.
The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has released the notification for Assistant Teacher Primary Teacher Recruitment 2026, offering 12,405 vacancies. The online application process started on September 16, 2026, and eligible candidates can apply until October 15, 2026.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old as on July 1, 2026. The maximum age is 40 years for Assistant Teacher Primary Urban posts, while the maximum age for Attached Primary posts is 62 years, subject to applicable recruitment rules.
For Primary Urban posts, candidates need a graduation degree along with a recognised teacher-training qualification such as BTC, D.El.Ed., Special BTC, a two-year Diploma in Special Education, four-year B.El.Ed. or other prescribed qualifications. Candidates must also have cleared the relevant Teacher Eligibility Test. For Attached Primary posts, graduation, BTC or D.El.Ed. and TET qualification for Classes 1 to 5 are required.
The application fee is Rs 1,000 for General, EWS and OBC candidates, Rs 500 for SC and ST candidates and Rs 300 for PwD candidates. The selection process includes a written examination, interview or viva-voce and document verification.
The examination is scheduled for December 3 and 4, 2026, while corrections can be made until October 19. Candidates should verify the detailed notification before applying and avoid waiting until the last minute.
