The US-Israel-Iran conflict intensifies as Israel launches strikes in Beirut, drones hit Kuwait airport infrastructure, and Saudi Arabia intercepts multiple drones amid regional escalation.

Middle East War Escalates: Israel Strikes Beirut, Drone Attacks Target Kuwait Airport and Saudi Arabia

The ongoing Israel–Iran conflict 2026 has entered a dangerous new phase as attacks spread across several Middle Eastern countries, raising fears of a wider regional war. Missile exchanges, drone strikes and air raids have now affected Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

Officials say the escalating conflict has already resulted in significant casualties and major disruptions to global energy markets.

Israeli Strike Hits Beirut Hotel

An Israeli airstrike reportedly targeted a hotel in the Raouche district of Beirut, killing at least four people and injuring several others, according to the Lebanese health ministry.

The strike occurred shortly after the Israeli military announced a new wave of attacks on infrastructure linked to Hezbollah, the Iran-backed militant group operating in Lebanon.

Authorities said security forces quickly sealed off the area while emergency teams responded to the damage.

Drone Attack Targets Kuwait Airport Infrastructure

Meanwhile, Kuwait International Airport came under attack when drones reportedly targeted fuel storage tanks at the facility.

The Kuwait Ministry of Defence confirmed that air defenses are responding to a wave of drones that entered the country’s airspace. Officials described the attack as targeting “vital infrastructure,” though the extent of damage remains unclear.

Saudi Arabia Intercepts Multiple Drones

Saudi Arabia said its air defense systems successfully intercepted 14 drones entering the country’s airspace.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Defence, eight drones were destroyed within Saudi territory while six others were intercepted east of Riyadh.

Authorities reported no casualties or major damage.

Iranian Missiles Continue To Target Israel

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that multiple missile barrages were launched from Iran toward southern and central Israel.

Air defense systems intercepted the projectiles before impact, and emergency services reported no immediate injuries.

However, sirens forced residents across several Israeli cities to seek shelter in bomb shelters during the attacks.

Global Concerns Rise As War Spreads

The conflict has already claimed thousands of lives across the region. Officials estimate that more than 1,000 people have died in Iran, while dozens have been killed in Lebanon and Israel.

The war is also disrupting global trade, particularly through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical route responsible for roughly 20% of the world’s oil supply.

Reduced tanker traffic and rising security risks have driven up global oil prices and created uncertainty in financial markets.

Political Tensions Continue

In Washington, Donald Trump said the Iranian military had been significantly weakened following repeated strikes by US and Israeli forces.

Meanwhile, diplomatic tensions between allies have also surfaced after the US rejected the United Kingdom’s offer to deploy aircraft carriers to support operations.

Uncertain Future For The Region

With missile strikes continuing across multiple countries and more military operations expected, analysts warn the conflict could escalate into one of the most dangerous crises in the Middle East in decades.

Governments worldwide are closely monitoring the situation as humanitarian concerns, political instability and energy market disruptions continue to grow.
