Actor Anil Kapoor is set to headline a new action drama titled Subedaar, which will release directly on OTT. The makers unveiled the official teaser on February 11, offering a first look at the intense storyline.

Subedaar will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 5. The film will be available in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, making it accessible to a wider audience across India.

Directed by Suresh Triveni, the film is co-written by Triveni and Prajwal Chandrashekar. Suresh Triveni is known for directing Tumhari Sulu.

The story follows Subedaar Arjun Maurya, played by Anil Kapoor, a retired soldier trying to adjust to civilian life. According to the teaser, the character struggles to cope with a rapidly changing society where the values he once upheld are being challenged.

The film portrays his internal conflict as well as his efforts to stand against crime and corruption. Alongside this, the narrative also explores strained family relationships and emotional tensions.

Radhikka Madan plays a leading role in the film. The supporting cast includes Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Rawal, Faisal Malik and Mona Singh.

Subedaar is produced by Vikram Malhotra, Anil Kapoor and Suresh Triveni. The film is backed by Opening Image Films in association with Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network (AKFCN).

Producer Vikram Malhotra described the film as a character-driven story centred on service, discipline and sacrifice. He stated that the team aimed to create a cinematic yet emotionally grounded experience for viewers.

The teaser suggests a gritty tone, focusing on honour and resilience in difficult circumstances. With its direct digital release, Subedaar joins the growing list of high-profile films choosing OTT platforms for their premiere.

Audiences can stream the film exclusively on Amazon Prime Video starting March 5.
