IIT JAM 2027 Registration Deadline Extended to October 19
IIT Kharagpur has extended the JAM 2027 registration deadline to October 19, giving candidates more time to apply for postgraduate programmes across 23 IITs.
The registration deadline for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2027 has been extended from October 12 to October 19, giving candidates an additional week to complete their applications. IIT Kharagpur is organising the examination this year for admissions to 89 postgraduate programmes across 23 IITs.
The JAM 2027 registration process began on September 12 through the official application portal. The data correction window on the JOAPS portal will open on November 10, while the examination is scheduled for February 14, 2027. Results are expected to be announced on March 18.
The exam will be conducted in computer-based test mode. Candidates can appear for one or two test papers, subject to the prescribed combinations and applicable fees.
JAM 2027 will offer seven test papers: Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics and Physics. Candidates choosing two papers must select papers scheduled in different sessions.
For one test paper, the application fee is Rs 1,000 for female candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories, while other candidates will pay Rs 2,000. For two papers, the corresponding fees are Rs 1,350 and Rs 2,700.
Candidates planning to appear for JAM 2027 can use the extended deadline to complete their applications and verify all details before submitting the form.
