Music composer Anirudh Ravichander has raised anticipation for Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 with a tribute to the superstar’s 51-year film career ahead of the sequel’s theatrical release.
Music composer Anirudh Ravichander has added to the excitement surrounding Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 with an emotional social media post celebrating the actor’s enduring legacy.
Anirudh reflected on Rajinikanth’s 51-year journey in cinema, highlighting the happiness, laughter and memorable moments the superstar has given audiences across generations.
In his post on X, the composer wrote that Rajinikanth had continued to create magic and rewrite history. He also described the excitement surrounding the actor’s return to theatres, saying screens would “ignite” for his 172nd outing.
Anirudh signed off with the line, “One Sun. One Moon. And One :)”, while tagging Rajinikanth, director Nelson Dilipkumar and production house Sun Pictures.
The composer returns for Jailer 2 after creating the soundtrack for the 2023 blockbuster Jailer. The sequel reunites him with Rajinikanth and Nelson, whose collaboration helped establish the original film’s energetic tone and dark humour.
Rajinikanth reprises his role as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian in the upcoming film. The cast includes returning actors Ramya Krishnan and Yogi Babu, alongside new additions such as Vidya Balan, Mithun Chakraborty and Suraj Venjaramoodu. Mohanlal and Shivarajkumar are also expected to reprise their roles.
Produced by Sun Pictures, Jailer 2 is scheduled to arrive in theatres on October 15. Several plot details remain under wraps as anticipation builds for the sequel.
