Apple OLED Touchscreen MacBook Pro May Launch on October 27: Expected Features and Price
Apple is reportedly preparing a redesigned MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen, Dynamic Island and a lighter body. The laptop could debut on October 27, although its launch date and specifications remain unconfirmed.
Apple could unveil its first OLED touchscreen MacBook Pro on October 27, marking a major change in the Mac lineup. The rumoured laptop may feature a redesigned display, a lighter body and an iPhone-style Dynamic Island.
The new model is expected to replace the existing mini-LED panel with OLED technology. This could deliver deeper blacks, richer colours and improved contrast, although peak brightness may vary.
Touchscreen support would let users tap and swipe directly on the display. However, Apple is reportedly planning to retain the keyboard and trackpad as the primary controls. A reinforced hinge could help keep the screen stable during touch interactions.
The design may replace the traditional notch with Dynamic Island, bringing a familiar iPhone feature to the Mac. The laptop could arrive in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, marking the first major redesign since the 2021 MacBook Pro models.
Reports suggest Apple may use M5 Pro and M5 Max chips rather than introduce M6 Pro and M6 Max processors. A later generation with M7 Pro and M7 Max chips could follow in late 2027 or early 2028.
Pricing remains unclear. The existing 14-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro starts at Rs 2,39,900, while the 16-inch model starts at Rs 3,59,900. The OLED version could cost more.
Apple has not officially confirmed the launch date, specifications or price. These details should be treated as rumours until the company makes an announcement.
