MPSC postpones three major examinations and orders re-evaluation of 2025 State Services Mains answer sheets.
The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has postponed three major examinations scheduled to begin from October 3, 2026. The State Services Main Examination, Maharashtra Civil Engineering Main Examination and Group-B Non-Gazetted Main Examination have all been deferred.

The commission said the decision followed representations from candidates, parents, student organisations and elected representatives seeking a postponement of the State Services Mains. Revised dates for all three examinations will be announced separately.

The decision comes amid protests by MPSC aspirants over alleged irregularities in the examination process, including concerns surrounding the Drug Inspector examination.

In another major development, MPSC has ordered the re-evaluation of answer sheets from the Maharashtra State Services Main Examination 2025. Candidates and student organisations had raised objections to the evaluation process.

The commission has cautioned that the re-evaluation may further delay the examination process. A high-level committee headed by senior bureaucrat V Radha is also reviewing the commission's examination system after consultations with candidates and other stakeholders.

For now, aspirants appearing for the three postponed examinations will have to wait for the revised timetable, while candidates awaiting the 2025 State Services Mains results will have to wait for the re-evaluation process to conclude.
