FIR Filed Against Shreyas Talpade in UP Case

Police in Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri district have registered a case against actor Shreyas Talpade and 12 others in connection with an alleged investment fraud.

According to officials, the FIR was lodged at Bhogaon police station following a complaint by a local resident of Mohalla Mishrana. The complainant has alleged that he was cheated of several lakh rupees under the pretext of an investment scheme.

The complaint claims that the accused persons, including the actor, were associated with an investment plan that allegedly promised financial returns. It further alleges that villagers were persuaded to invest money through a bank branch said to be located in Mohalla Mishrana.

Police have confirmed that a case has been registered after a court order. An investigation is currently underway to examine the allegations and determine the facts of the matter.

Officials have not yet disclosed further details about the nature of the investment scheme or the specific roles of the accused individuals. No official statement has been released by Shreyas Talpade regarding the case so far.

Authorities said that the matter is being probed as per legal procedure.

Shreyas Talpade is known for his work in Hindi and Marathi cinema. He made his debut in a leading role with the 2005 film Iqbal. Over the years, he has appeared in films such as Dor, Golmaal, and Om Shanti Om.

He is also set to appear in the upcoming film Welcome to the Jungle, scheduled for theatrical release in June 2026.
