Actor Rajpal Yadav has returned to film sets shortly after being granted interim relief in a cheque bounce case.
According to reports, the actor has resumed shooting for Welcome to the Jungle, marking his first project since his release. The film also stars Akshay Kumar and features a large ensemble cast.
Interim Relief from Delhi High Court
The Delhi High Court granted an interim suspension of Rajpal Yadav’s sentence until March 18 in connection with a ₹9 crore cheque bounce case.
As part of the order, the court directed the actor to furnish a personal bond of ₹1 lakh along with one surety of the same amount. It was also noted that ₹1.5 crore had been deposited in the respondent’s bank account while considering the plea.
The case remains under legal consideration, and the actor has stated that his lawyer will address all legal matters going forward.
First Public Message After Release
Soon after his release, Rajpal Yadav shared a message on social media thanking fans and supporters. In his note, he expressed gratitude for the love and encouragement he received during the legal proceedings.
In a media interaction, he said that questions related to the case would be handled by his legal representative and refrained from making detailed comments.
Back on Set
The actor has reportedly joined the shoot of Welcome to the Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan. The film boasts a large ensemble including Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal and Johnny Lever.
The Welcome franchise began in 2007 under director Anees Bazmee and became known for its comedy ensemble format. A sequel followed in 2015.
With filming now underway, Rajpal Yadav’s return signals a swift transition back to professional commitments, even as the legal proceedings continue.
