Dupahiya Season 3 and 4: Director Sonam Nair Hints at More Seasons
Director Sonam Nair has expressed confidence in continuing Dupahiya beyond Season 2, crediting the series’ positive audience response for strengthening the team’s hopes for future seasons.
Director Sonam Nair has hinted that Dupahiya could return for Seasons 3 and 4 following the positive response to its first two instalments. The filmmaker expressed optimism about continuing the story of the popular Prime Video series.
Nair said the team feels more confident about the show’s future after understanding what audiences enjoy about its characters and setting. She also explained that the atmosphere surrounding Season 2 was different from the uncertainty she experienced before the first season premiered.
Ahead of the original release, Nair admitted she was nervous about how viewers would receive the show. However, the audience response has eased those concerns and encouraged the team to build on the series’ established appeal.
Season 2 brings back Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane, Sparsh Shrivastava, Bhuvan Arora, Shivani Raghuvanshi and Yashpal Sharma. Bhojpuri actor and singer Dinesh Lal Yadav, popularly known as Nirahua, has also joined the cast.
Set in the fictional rural village of Dhadakpur, Dupahiya follows quirky characters navigating small-town life. While the first season introduced the village and its residents, the second instalment raises the stakes with new challenges and complications.
Although Nair has expressed interest in extending the franchise, the possibility of Seasons 3 and 4 remains a hope rather than a confirmed announcement.
