The ambassador and other embassy officials joined Ali’s family and well-wishers at the funeral. The Indian Embassy in Riyadh said Vipul conveyed his condolences and assured the bereaved family of continued assistance.

The mission also helped the family complete funeral-related formalities. Officials visited hospitals to check on injured Indian nationals and remained in contact with their families to provide support.

The attack reportedly injured several people, including 10 Indian nationals. Saudi Arabia blamed Yemen’s Houthi rebels for the strike, while India strongly condemned attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure.

India described the repeated strikes on civilian targets in Saudi Arabia as “completely unacceptable” and called for an immediate halt to such attacks.

The embassy also advised Indian nationals living in Saudi Arabia to remain vigilant, follow local authorities’ instructions and take shelter indoors when necessary.

The attack claimed multiple lives, including those of Saudi, Bangladeshi, Palestinian, American, Egyptian, Jordanian, Syrian and Sudanese nationals, according to the report.

The embassy’s outreach to Ali’s family and the injured reflects India’s efforts to assist its citizens affected by the incident while reiterating its call for civilian safety.
