ISL 2026-27: MG Motor Set to Become New Title Sponsor in Rs 25 Crore Deal
The Indian Super League is reportedly set to welcome MG Motor as its new title sponsor.
The Indian Super League is reportedly close to securing a new title sponsor, with MG Motor set to sign a two-year agreement worth more than Rs 25 crore. The deal would mark the return of a title sponsor after Hero MotoCorp’s association with the competition ended following the 2022-23 season.

The final paperwork is reportedly nearing completion, after which the competition could be branded as the MG Indian Super League. MG’s logo is also expected to appear on the league crest under the proposed agreement.

The partnership could reportedly include a car for the league’s best player at the end of each season, with the award estimated to be worth around Rs 25 lakh.

The development comes ahead of the 2026-27 season, which is scheduled to begin on October 10. Bengaluru FC are set to host Sporting Club Delhi before FC Goa face Chennaiyin FC later the same day.

The reported sponsorship also comes as MG Motor India enters a new phase under JSW MG Motor India chairman Parth Jindal. Jindal also heads JSW Sports, which owns Bengaluru FC, although there is no confirmed information linking him personally to the reported sponsorship agreement.

For the ISL, the deal would represent a notable commercial shift after three seasons without a title sponsor. Apparently, even football leagues eventually need someone to put their name on the bill.
