NEET PG 2026 Results: Candidates Raise Score Concerns, AIMSA Seeks Answer Key
NEET PG 2026 candidates have sought greater transparency in the evaluation process following concerns over their results.
The NEET PG 2026 results were announced on September 24, but concerns over scores surfaced within days. Several medical aspirants have alleged discrepancies in their results and are seeking greater clarity on how their papers were evaluated.

Following representations from candidates, the All India Medical Students' Association (AIMSA) wrote to Union Health Minister JP Nadda, requesting the release of the official question paper, answer key and individual recorded responses. The association said these documents would allow candidates to independently compare their answers with the official evaluation.

AIMSA has specifically sought three things: the complete NEET PG 2026 question paper, the official answer key for all questions and individual response sheets of candidates who appeared for the examination.

The concerns come alongside a significant change in the qualifying threshold. The NEET PG 2026 cut-off has fallen to its lowest level in six years, with the threshold set at 262 marks for General and EWS candidates, 244 for General PwBD candidates and 226 for SC, ST and OBC candidates. The qualifying percentile, however, remains unchanged.

Experts have cautioned that a lower qualifying score does not automatically mean that securing postgraduate medical admission has become easier. Exam difficulty, score distribution, preparation trends, coaching dependence and the number of available PG seats can all influence cut-offs.

With candidates now seeking access to their responses and the official answer key, the demand is primarily for greater transparency in the NEET PG evaluation process.
