Nani Presents Nithiin’s Alias Rukmini, Set for December 4 Worldwide Release
Nani has joined Nithiin’s upcoming Telugu film Alias Rukmini as presenter, with the makers confirming a worldwide theatrical release on December 4. More details about the film’s central character are expected on October 13.
Actor Nani has come on board as the presenter of Nithiin’s upcoming Telugu film Alias Rukmini, which is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 4. The makers announced the release date on October 9 and teased a further reveal about the film on October 13.
Sharing the announcement, Nani described the project as the “most beautiful Telugu film of the year”, raising anticipation around the film’s story and unusual title.
Produced by Deepthi Ganta under the banner of Unanimous Productions, Alias Rukmini is written and directed by Murali Kanth Devasoth. The production team also shared a cryptic message referencing Krishna’s love story, adding to the mystery surrounding the project.
The film’s title glimpse, released in August, offered a quirky introduction to its premise. In the video, Nani discusses the story with director Murali, who says it revolves around Krishna. Nithiin is then shown asleep in a chair, with books featuring sensual themes appearing in the scene. Nani notices that the books are apparently written by someone named Rukmini, prompting questions about the character. Nithiin eventually wakes up and reveals that Rukmini is his wife.
Nithiin had earlier expressed confidence in the film, saying its story was designed to connect with audiences emotionally.
The team completed the first shooting schedule in September. The 10-day schedule reportedly featured Nithiin, Sai Kumar, Harsha Vardhan and other cast members.
The technical crew includes cinematographer Jomon T John, composer Vijai Bulganin, editor Srujana Adusumilli and costume designer Rekha Boggarrapu, with Ramana Madhavaram serving as co-director.
With Nani presenting the film and its release date confirmed, the makers are expected to share more details about Alias Rukmini on October 13.
