Shriya Saran Recalls Drishyam 2 Team Adjusting Shoot Schedule After Motherhood
Shriya Saran recalled how the Drishyam 2 team adjusted readings and shooting hours after she returned to work as a new mother, with her daughter only eight months old.
Shriya Saran has recalled how the Drishyam 2 team adjusted its schedule when she returned to work as a new mother. Her daughter was eight months old during the film’s shoot, and the actor said the team made several changes to accommodate her responsibilities.
Saran recalled that even her first reading was scheduled around her daughter’s sleep time. During filming, she was often allowed to leave early, sometimes even before co-star Ajay Devgn, as the team remained mindful of her situation.
The actor said the experience made her more conscious about the projects she chooses and the time she spends away from her daughter. She also hopes her work will eventually become something her daughter feels proud of.
Saran noted that her daughter has already developed an interest in some of her songs and performances, describing that reaction as especially meaningful.
Her experience comes amid wider conversations in the film industry about working conditions for mothers, including discussions around long shooting hours and more flexible schedules.
Saran is currently part of Drishyam: The Conclusion, the third film in the franchise, alongside Ajay Devgn. The film released on October 2.
