Shehzad Poonawalla has responded after his physical altercation with Siwet Tomar on Rise & Fall 2, thanking viewers for their support and saying he will “rise again”.
Shehzad Poonawalla has broken his silence after a physical altercation with fellow contestant Siwet Tomar on Rise & Fall 2, saying the incident will not break his spirit. In a statement shared on X, Poonawalla thanked viewers for their support and said he had chosen to maintain his composure despite the confrontation.
The clash reportedly began after tensions between the two contestants escalated during the show. Siwet, who had been eliminated from the Ultimate Ruler race, later confronted Shehzad following an argument involving Swara Bhasker. The confrontation turned physical, with Siwet grabbing Shehzad by the neck and pushing him to the ground. Shehzad was later seen with a torn kurta.
Physical violence is prohibited on the reality show, following which Siwet was asked to leave. Clips of the confrontation subsequently circulated online, triggering reactions from viewers.
Poonawalla's statement also referred to his personal struggles and his decision to enter the show to work and earn a living. His team said that despite being provoked and physically attacked, he continued to treat fellow contestants with respect.
The former BJP spokesperson ended his message on a defiant note, saying that attempts to silence or push him down would not defeat him. “He will rise again,” the statement said, closing with “Jai Hind”.
